Despite the hot weather (34 degrees) I went to Lion Education Center, Sai Kung to make some experiment with my 70-300mm zoom lens. I would test if it was possible to make a nice background and a sharp object of a dragonfly and compare the photos with my photos made with the 200mm Macro lens.
The zoom lens is more slow to make focus and the working distance is larger. The sharpness of the object will become almost the same as the 200mm, but not so crispy. The background is also different. I prefer the 200mm macro lens.
I captured some small birds, dragonflies, flowers and a baby lizard.
