 From the program Google Earth I maked a study of my backyard the big peninsula south of Sai Kung. I would like to see the view from the top (only about 100m above see level) and to explore the forest. It's only 10 minutes walk from my home, but it's up-hill. The forest was much different from the forest in Tai Po. It's younger and the vegitation is low. I only went half the way on the long peninsula as I spent a lot of time on some big Woodland Spiders. At the south-end of the peninsula you wil find some big nice beaches which can only be reached on foot or by boat.
The view from the top is excellent.
I got some photos of the Arachnid Woodland Spider which has grown to full size at the end of August. Also som ants, some wasps (ichneumon fly) and a Praying Mantis. |
